What an outstanding writing skill, Mr. Paulsen had pleaded me once again. What an excellent book, and the story was so thrilling that I finished the book in 2 days. The book kept me on reading and almost forgot to do my other homework. I can feel the cold of the winter and I can feel Brian’s feeling of satisphying about the food. The book is like a continue of Hatchet but the story changed a bit, Brian hadn’t been rescued and he had stayed there until the winter. Still, he had adapted the weather and survived with plenty of foods. He had made a big war bow with greater damage and he uses it to hunt moose and deer. He had made warm cloths out of animal skins. In the end he had met humans and they welcome him to the shelter. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Another great book by the great Gary Paulsen. Brian, after got rescued, he went back to the city and soon became the city boy again. Two years had past since he was reborn in the woods, the thought of it faded in his mind. Still, he had became different, he loved to eat and cook, or even watch others eat. Whenever he go he can hear, smell and hear anything around him. But then something came, he got famous and get searched by the newspaper all the time. And one day, a psychologist named Derek came and offered him to "re-do" what he did two years ago to teach his survival skill to the military. He agreed to do so, and Derek will come with him and take notes. But after a few days, bad thing started to come, Derek got hit by the lightning and got in a coma. With the radio broken, Brian had followed the map and went hundred of miles to get to the trading post with the raft that he had made to save Derek. They had fall into a waterfall and through so many dangers. But he had made it, he saved Derek.

Heroes don't run
The book began with another book called "A Boy at War". But the library doesn't have it so I borrowed this book. I can still know the story pretty well. This is a story about a 17 years old boy named Adam Pelko that lived with his mother and his dad died in Pearl Harbor. Adam really want to fight for his country but his mother doesn't allow him to do so. So he get the recruitment paper secretly and asked his grandfather, which is also a retired soldier, to sign the paper for him. He did this because he saw the Japanese took his father's life so he want to get revenge. So he became a marine and fought in the Pacific War. Later on he got sent home because he got hit by a bomb and then right after that the American won the war.
